Join us for a powerful, community-led paddle-out at San Onofre — a visual demonstration calling for accountability on the 3.6 million pounds of radioactive waste stored just feet from the surf.

This is more than a gathering — it’s a stand for coastal protection, environmental justice, and public safety. Surfers, students, and advocates will come together to raise awareness and demand action.

What to Expect:

  • Ceremonial paddle-out
  • Speakers from youth, advocacy, and Indigenous communities
  • Collaborative art and storytelling
  • Community partner booths
  • Opportunities to connect and take action

What to Bring

  • Surfboard or bodyboard (if paddling out)
  • Towel, water, sun protection
  • Reusable bottle
  • Friends, family, and a spirit of solidarity

Why It Matters

San Onofre is home to 3.6 million pounds of radioactive waste — just 100 feet from rising seas. Few people realize the risk it poses. This event will bring visibility to the issue and rally diverse voices ready to take action.
